Ads by Google Restoration of 5Years Notional Benefit to the SVRS2001 Pensioners - State Bank of Mysore and Vijay Bank lost in Karnatka High Court - SBM Asked to Pay Rs10,000 to each petitioners
Few days back we received a mail from one of our regular readers, Mr Perumal Maruthu from Chennai, wherein he sent us the mail published by Mr Rangarajan of SBM after the historic judgment of Karnatka High Court on restoration of 5Years Notional Benefit to the SVRS2001 Pensioners despite a clear verdict of Supreme Court of India in the case of Mohandas Vs GOI/BOI delivered in 2009. A few Banks like SBM / Vijaya Bank wantonly refused to extend the benefit and preferred to engage the poor pensioners in unnecessary litigations with a sole motive to deprive them of their legal entitlement.
Now we have received the full version of judgement, which can be now downloaded by clicking the link given below :-
We also give below extracts from the mail received by us :
"THE MUCH AWAITED JUDGEMENT WAS DELIVERED ON 8THMARCH, 2012 BY THE KARNATAKA HIGH COURT. IT IS ANOTHER MILE STONE IN THE LONG LEGAL STRUGGLE SINCE ALMOST 1ST APRIL, 2001 WHICH THE ASSOCIATE BANK MANAGEMENTS AND A FEW OTHER NATIONALISED BANKS HAVE TRIED TO MAKE IT LITERALLY A FOOL’S DAY. TIME HAS TO DECIDE WHO IS A FOOL. WHETHER THE LEGAL HEADS (PARTICULARLY SBM) OR THE PENSIONERS IN HAVING FOUGHT THE LEGAL BATTLE.
A FAMOUS KANNADA FILM “BOOTHAYYANA MAGA AYYU” (MEANING A PESON NAMED “AYYU THE SON OF BOOTHAYYA”) WAS AN EYE OPENER ON THE WISDOM OF DRAGGING MATTERS TO THE COURT WHERE BOTH THE OPPONENT LAWYERS BECOME VERY RICH AT THE COST OF THE LITIGANTS AND BOTH THE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THE BATTLE SUFFER AGONISINGLY IN MANY WAYS.
ON THE CONTRARY NOW IT IS THE TURN OF BANKS TO CUT A SORRY FIGURE BEFORE ITS OWN PENSIONERS WHO TOILED FOR THE SAME INSTITUTIONS WHOLE HEARTEDLY BUT HAD TO LEAVE THE BANKS ON INTRODUCTION OF V.R.S.
1.REMAINING SERVICE WITH SUBSEQUENT WAGE REVISIONS WHICH WERE QUITE ATTRACTIVE; Ads by Google THANKS TO OUR DEDICATED TEAM OF RETIREES WHO ARE FIGHTING RELENTLESSLY TO MAKE THE MANAGEMENTS EAT THE PIE AND LAND IN SUCH A HUMILIATING SITUATION UNBECOMING OF SUCH TOP EXECUTIVES WITH TONS OF LEGAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE AND LACK OF BASIC RATIONAL APPROACH IN DEALING WITH HUMAN ISSUES. THE IGNOMONY IS MORE IN THIS CASE BECAUSE BANKS HAVE LEGAL EXPERTS WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WINNING HORSES AND NOT FIGHT ON SILLY AND FLIMSY GROUNDS ON BASIC AND FUNDAMENTAL ISSUES AS IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING THESE YEARS. I THINK WE HAVE CROSSED THE BRIDGE AND REACHED VERY NEAR TO THE GOAL. WITH SOME FINE TUNING AND SUITABLE STRATEGIES WHICH HAVE ALREADY BEEN SET IN MOTION THINGS WILL FALL IN THEIR PLACE WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. THIS WILL ALSO PAVE THE WAY FOR ADDRESSING MANY MORE SERIOUS ISSUES WHICH WOULD BENEFIT THE RETIREES. WISHING ALL THE BEST TO OUR RETIREES WITH A REQUEST TO CONTRIBUTE WITH STRONG INPUTS TO HELP OUR LEADERS TO ADDRESS SEVERAL ISSUES ON HAND FOR THE WELFARE OF RETIREES.
