We have been receiving information through our readers that in Madras High Court a judgement has been pronounced by a Single Judge Bench of Hon'ble Justice K K Sasidharan on 14/12/2012 favouring bank pensioners who have retired prior to 01/11/2002, and giving them 100% DA Neutralisation. The details of the case are said to be as below:-
On checking we have noticed that the case was listed for 14th December, 2012, but the details of the judgment are yet to be uploaded in Madras High Court website (i.e. as on 16/12/2012)..

We have yet to receive and read the full judgement and thus will not be able to comment in details. This is a undoubtedly GREAT ACHIEVEMENT by a Retired Senior Manager of Canara Bank. All Bankers needs to salute this great soul for the unrelenting efforts he must have put up since 2006. AllBankingSolutions.com have also been fighting for this cause since long as can be seen from various articles published by us on our Wage Revision page. We must admit that our efforts were only to make awareness among the bankers that they have right to this claim and IBA and GoI is deliberately denying the same. The real fight has been done by senior bankers who have been fighting in Courts for years. It is as great achievement and is equal to the recent victory of VRS optees who were denied 2nd Pension option. However, one of our readers Mr. V. Chandrasekaran has rightly said in his email "The concerned bank and IBA, true to their tradition of denial of the wrong-doing, may prefer (a) to appeal to a Division Bench of the same High Court; and (b) if the appeal is also rejected, they may prefer to file Appeal in Supreme Court. HOWEVER, let us hope and pray that good sense prevails over IBA and the injustice done to pre-1.1.2002 bank pensioners is set right without wasting money !"
We regret that even in this fight our Unions have not played any positive role.
Lets wait for full judgment and then finalize the strategy.
